STATEMENT OF CLAIM.

Defendants.

The Plaintiffs are a limited Company with registered

office at No. 2 Kiuk ia ng Road Shanghai.

2. The Plaintiffs are and at all material times were the

owners of the steamship Wollowrs.

3. On or about the 30th November 1917 the Goverment of the

Colony of Hongkong requisitioned the said steamship took

control of her and placed her under the management of Messrs.

Dodwell & Co. Ltd., of Hongkong.

4. In or about April 1918 the said Goverment restored the

said steamship to the managements of the Plaintiffs but

retained control of her and her movements and engagements until

the 31st day of January 1919 when she was restored to the

Plaintiffs her owners,

5. During the period that the said steamship was under the

requisition or control of the aaid Goverment the Government
